Financial Education

Ibercaja Banco aims to improve its customers’ knowledge of the economic and financial issues that have the greatest impact on their personal finances. We also seek to promote better awareness of banking practices and the consequences of purchasing a banking product or service.

As a result of our commitment:
  • Ibercaja Banco has adhered to the Collaboration Agreement signed by the Spanish Federation of Savings Banks (Confederación Española de Cajas de Ahorro – CECA), the Spanish Securities Market Commission (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores – CNMV) and the Bank of Spain to develop a “Plan de Educacion Fianciera”. This program aims to improve people’s awareness of financial issues by giving them the resources, skills and knowledge to make their own financial decisions. Since 2013, Ibercaja Banco has delegated to Fundacion Bancaria Ibercaja the development of a financial education program referred as PROGRAMA DE FINANZAS BASICAS. This program includes:
  • Workshops with students (primary school, high school, university)
  • Seminars with NGO
  • Online initiatives such as online lessons, games, videos…
